We are an international network of (mostly) social scientists interested in human-horse relations across all their diverse dimensions. Our members range from sociologists to ethologists and our interests range from The New Equine Economy through haptic communication, to understanding the behavior of horses, and their owners.
Most of us work in university departments which do not have a direct focus on the human-horse relationship. EqRN represents a chance for us to get together with others with similar interests, meeting at EqRN sponsored conference sessions and to share ideas and news.
What unites us is a passion for horses and a fascination with the diverse ways that human beings keep, breed, compete and interact with them. If you are a researcher with similar interests, we welcome you to consider joining us!
The latest EqRN Newsletter is now out. It contains a round up of last year's conferences and the Calls for ones coming up this year.
EqRN now has a Facebook Page!
The Equine Research Network (EqRN) Facebook page is a members-only page where the home page can be seen by the public but only members can post and read posts.
Please 'like' it, link to it, and use it to post news, share information which may be of interest to EqRN members and initiate discussions, collaborations, etc.
It can be found here.
