Symposium on Equine Tourism, Saumur France, May 2012

The Draft Programme for the Symposium on Equine Tourism -- Equi-meeting Tourisme in Saumur, France to be held May 9 - 12 2012 is now complete.

A good number of participants are scheduled, plus the event will be held in the grounds of the Cadre Noir - the famous French school of equitation.

Besides the papers and seminars, the symposium will include visits to famous Sadleries "Budet" and "Belloir", and bootmaker "Albert Joel".  There will be a visit to the School of Natural Horsemanship of Nicolas Blondeau and also a demonstration of BAC Chevala "Bilan des Acquis et du Comportement' (Assessment of Training and Behaviour) by ethologist Claire Neveux of the Manege Valat.  In addition there will be local transport around the Cadre Noir in classical french horse carriages.  The Conference Gala dinner will be held in one of the famous wine 'Caves' of Saumur.
